If you are using Bigcommerce as your ecommerce platform of choice, follow these instructions to setup your FuelX event tracking. This pageview event code will need to placed across your entire website in order for additional event tracking to track and record data properly.

Page View

Implementation

  1. Login to Bigcommerce and click the "Store Setup" link.
  2. Click the link labeled Design under "Store Setup".
  3. Now access the "Edit HTML/CSS" and locate the HTMLhead.html file within the template files section.
  4. After selecting the HTMLHead.html file, place the FuelX pageview event code below the first head tag.
  5. Finally, save the HTMLHead.html file.

Purchase

Code

When placing the tracking code on your site, be sure to place the appropriate Platform Value from the Field Values table into your tracking code. If you do not wish to track certain values, such as products or orderValue, please remove the placeholders in the trackng code and leave the value as empty quotes. Field Values

Implementation

  1. Login to Bigcommerce and click the "Advanced Settings" link.
  2. Now click on the "Affiliate Conversion Tracking" link
  3. Place the purchase event code within the textarea labeled "Conversion Tracking Code". Values can be placed within the orderId and orderValue fields to track performance. These values must be placed within quotes.
  4. If you would like to track the purchase order number or total value, you will need to add "Tracking Code Variables", as shown below.
  5. Click "Save" and your purchase event code will begin firing with every purchase.

Lead

Code

Implementation

  1. Login to Bigcommerce and click the "Store Setup" link.
  2. Click the link labeled Design under "Store Setup".
  3. Now access the "Edit HTML/CSS" and locate the appropriate file within the template files section.
  4. Now place the following lead event code at the bottom of the file, if you would like to track lead events as the user reaches the page. Lead event code can also be triggered to record lead events by using onclick or onsubmit events.
  5. Values can be placed dynamically within the leadId, leadType, and email fields to track leads. These values must be placed within quotes.
  6. Click "Save" and your file will be saved with the lead event code that has now been placed.
