If you use Squarespace as your ecommerce platform, please follow the instructions below to setup your FuelX event tracking. This pageview event code will need to placed across your entire website in order for additional event tracking to track and record data properly.

Page View

Implementation

  1. Login to the Squarespace account.
  2. Access the "Settings" link within the admin settings panel.
  3. Within the "Settings" section find and click the "Advanced" link.
  4. Now, select the "Code Injection" link within the "Advanced" section.
  5. Copy your FuelX pageview event code and paste the code within the textarea labeled "HEADER".
  6. Click "Save" and your pageview code will be included on all of your site pages.

Purchase

Code

When placing the tracking code on your site, be sure to place the appropriate Platform Value from the Field Values table into your tracking code. If you do not wish to track certain values, such as products or orderValue, please remove the placeholders in the trackng code and leave the value as empty quotes. Implementation

  1. Login to the Squarespace account.
  2. Access the "Settings" link within the admin settings panel.
  3. Within the "Settings" section find and click the "Advanced" link.
  4. Now, select the "Code Injection" link within the "Advanced" section.
  5. Copy your FuelX purchase event code and paste the code within the textarea labeled "ORDER CONFIRMATION PAGE". You can directly add the order id and order value to the corresponding fields as shown in the example below. The values must be contained within quotes.
  6. In order to dynamically transmit order value and order number back to FuelX for increased ecommerce tracking within the FuelX platform, you will need to edit the purchase event code and use two order liquid object values within the provided code, as shown in the example below.
  7. Lastly, click save to have enact the changes.

Lead

Implementation

  1. Access your Squarespace account.
  2. Ensure that you have developer level access.
  3. Enable developer mode in your Squarespace account which will give you access to your theme files.
  4. Locate the theme file which you wish to add the lead event code to.
  5. Now place the following lead event code at the bottom of the file if you would like to track lead events as the user reaches the page. In addition, the code can be triggered to record lead events by using onclick or onsubmit events.
  6. Values can be placed within the leadId, leadType, and email fields to track leads. These values must be placed within quotes.
  7. Now "Save" and your lead event code will placed on your website.
